Pearl & Teak Studio · Nairobi
Enduring elegance, Heirloom design

Pearl & Teak Studio was founded on a conviction rooted in East African craft: that a beautifully designed home is not a luxury reserved for the few — it is a form of self-expression, a declaration of how one chooses to inhabit the world.
Born and practising in Nairobi, we create spaces of quiet distinction. Our aesthetic draws from the Afro-minimalist tradition — natural sisal, reclaimed hardwoods, hand-thrown ceramics, woven textiles, and a palette drawn from the ochres and sages of the East African landscape.
We begin with an extended conversation — your rituals, aspirations, the way you move through your day. The brief we write together becomes the foundation every decision is built on.
Two distinct concept directions — spatial plans, material boards, atmospheric imagery — presented for your review. We commit fully to one and develop it to near-completion before any procurement begins.
We manage every supplier, artisan, and contractor on your behalf. Weekly site visits. No surprises. Every purchase is receipted and reported. Your budget is treated as a boundary, not a suggestion.
A final styling session, snag-list resolution, and handover pack. We photograph the completed space and are available for six months post-handover — because truly good design is a relationship, not a transaction.
